INSPIRATION:The Story of Stuff Project

Background: The Story of Stuff is the inspiration for these posters based on environmental as well as other public concerns related to consumerism, corporations and the government.

Assignment and Method:

(1) Watch one of the videos on the Story of Stuff Project website. Each video focuses on a different environmental, political, socioeconomic concern of “we the people”. Select one of interest and watch it at least 2 times.

(2) Begin Research – site at least ten reference sites

(3) Develop a journalistic approach to telling the story. Include a two sided, unbiased story line which culminates in a plan of action or actionable steps for the viewer to take.

Collateral Design

Objective: Create a brand identity for a product that helps people to think better, faster and more creatively. The product is unique because it offers testing before and after the product is taken in order to track the effectiveness. New customized formulas can be created to suit the needs of the individual. The product is made from natural herbs and nutrients.

Challenge: Demonstrate the unique product benefit using an information design approach.

Deliverables: brand identity, business package, package design for product samples and sell sheet and motion graphic that describes the process.
